The new Health Services Centre at CFB North Bay is an important step forward for Canadian Armed Forces members deployed in our community. This federal investment of $22 million will considerably improve the health care provided to members at CFB North Bay, and demonstrates our commitment to supporting the people of our military.

Investing in the North continues to help in creating opportunities for small businesses owners and build towards a thriving economy across Nipissing-Timiskaming.

Strong local economies rely on the growth of local businesses. Strategic investments such as these will allow the two businesses to purchase equipment, increase production and find new ways to become more energy efficient.

These investments will help grow the regional economy. By helping local businesses innovate and grow, we can continue to create good jobs and ensure good living and working conditions for the people of Nipissing-Timiskaming and throughout Northern Ontario.

This funding will help make Yes Employment Services more accessible and inclusive for constituents in North Bay and the surrounding area. I’m proud of highlighting a program will allow a local local service to be better equipped to help employers around the region to hire and retain their employees with disabilities. This helps improve employment outcomes and will help grow the workforce, which is great news for our local economy

Over the next two years, Wood WORKS! is expected to support 115 construction projects, create 750 jobs and generate increased wood sales by nearly $75 million. This is great news for families and businesses in Nipissing-Timiskaming and communities all across Northern Ontario that rely on the success of these key industries.

Canadore College has a commitment to the health and well-being of our students, employees, and community, and we thank the Government of Canada and our MP Anthony Rota for their support of this initiative.
